Resume Workshop

Get advice on your resume from these pros! This will be an interactive workshop. After an introductory discussion with all four speakers, participants will divide into small groups, led by one of the professionals above, for a discussion and feedback on each participant’s resume, which will be shared with the group.
In order for one of the professionals to critique your resume, you must email it by March 11 to pmorrill@morrill.com, indicating that it is for the Sciences Po Workshop.

Beverly R Daniel, MS, MBA, founder of the CareerGrowth Group, is a well-known career coach and has helped numerous professionals in charting their own career planning and career growth through her career coaching services. She has more than 22 years of experience in executive search and Human Resources management consulting. As a retained an executive search consultant to Colgate-Palmolive, Exxon-Mobil, Citi, JP MorganChase, Deloitte Consulting and McKinsey & Company, she led searches in the accounting, finance, HR, marketing and strategy functions. Beverly is a well-known speaker and panelist and has spoken recently at Columbia Graduate Business School Alumni Club of New York, University of Michigan Business School, Brandeis University Leadership Conference, Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG), Financial Executives Institute (FEI), New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA), The Union League Club, and The Parents League. She runs the Women’s Career Networking Group at the Princeton Club, which includes Columbia Club and Williams Club members. Beverly holds an MS in Psychological Counseling and an MBA in Management.
Pat Morrill is the founder and president of Morrill Associates, an executive search firm that specializes in recruiting investment bankers and senior financial professionals. Her practice expertise includes corporate finance, M&A, and leveraged finance. Prior to founding the firm in 1983, Ms. Morrill was an investment officer at Prudential Insurance Company, an investment banker at First Boston, and a lending officer at Citibank. She is on the Board of Sciences Po Alumni USA, and has served on the boards of The Financial Women’s Association, The Women’s Bond Club, and The Columbia Business School Alumni Association, and is a member of the Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment and The Economic Club of New York. Ms. Morrill earned a BA from Wellesley College, an MBA from Columbia University, and studied at Sciences Po during her junior year of college.
Mike Teape is the Owner of Teape Training LLC. Since 1994, Mr. Teape has been conducting communication, feedback, presentation skills course design and delivery training, coaching, train-the-trainer, and training strategy development for a wide spectrum of clients. He often works for global corporations, leading training firms, universities and individual coaching assignments. Prior to his work as an independent training consultant, Michael was at JPMorganChase for 10 years. While at JPMorganChase Michael led training teams across multiple functional areas including: Operations, Technology, Client Management and Sales. This broad range of training expertise enables Michael to quickly understand how a client’s organization “fits together” and relate to many different training needs. Michael is certified in the NBI Whole Brain Thinking Communication Styles model, and an Adjunct Professor for the MBA Business Communications Department at New York’s Baruch College.
Dee Walters is an accomplished Human Resources professional who has played a significant role in acquiring talent for the organizations she has worked for. In addition to twenty years of experience, her credentials include the SPHR certification and DDI’s Targeted Selection Administrator certification. The span of Dee’s recruiting experience covers a variety of industries and she has recruited up to the C suite level. Currently, she is an HR Manager with Ricoh Americas. She has worked as an Executive Recruiter for a search firm and this experience has enhanced her skills in the areas of candidate sourcing, coaching candidates, networking and client development. Dee has delivered training in the DDI methodology of behavioral interviewing and she has coached numerous candidates and clients in interviewing for the “right fit.” Dee holds a Bachelors Degree from SUNY at Stony Brook.
